Terms of Service
Last updated: [DATE]
Template, not legal advice. This is a generic placeholder used while Medic Migrate is in early development. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be replaced with counsel-reviewed terms specific to your jurisdiction before real users rely on it.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Medic Migrate ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is
Medic Migrate provides curated information about medical licensing exams, immigration pathways, and document requirements for healthcare professionals relocating internationally, along with community and mentorship features. The Service is an informational and organisational tool, not a substitute for advice from a licensed immigration attorney, a regulatory body, or the relevant licensing authority.
3. Not immigration, legal, or medical advice
Nothing on the Service constitutes immigration advice, legal advice, or medical advice. Exam requirements, visa rules, and licensing procedures change and vary by country; always confirm current requirements directly with the relevant regulatory body (e.g. GMC, ECFMG, AMC, MCC, MCNZ, DHA/HAAD) or a licensed immigration professional before making decisions based on information from the Service.
4. Your account
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse the community forum to harass, impersonate, or defraud other users; upload documents or content you don't have the right to share; attempt to access another user's account or data; or use the Service to provide false credentials for licensing or immigration purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of documents, forum posts, and other content you submit. By posting to the community forum, you grant Medic Migrate a licence to display that content within the Service. You're solely responsible for content you upload, including any documents containing personal or sensitive information.
7. Mentorship and bookings
Sessions booked through the mentor directory are arranged directly between you and the mentor. Medic Migrate facilitates the booking but is not a party to, and does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or outcome of, any mentorship session.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for other reasonable cause, with notice where practicable.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medic Migrate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on exam, visa, or pathway information provided.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION].
